They should also have a pvm rating and a pvp rating. It's pretty hard to rate them, like ancients pledge, I agree with you, but I wouldn't call it bad because it's an amazing shield for day 1. Malice is a great early-ladder/single-player option for a melee weapon at very low levels, but it's not viable for anything else.

Lore is a great early-ladder/single-player option for +skills at low levels, but it's not viable for anything else. You're better off saving your mid-runes and sticking to easier options most of the time. However, I typically find myself using Smoke or Stealth instead, as Hel, Lum, and Fal aren't the easiest runes to come by in an early ladder or on single-player.

The mods on this are really nice for early ladder or single-player. Generally speaking (With some exceptions, like Chanters), Sorceresses shouldn't be using staves at really any point. If it weren't for how easy this is to make very early, it would have an rating. The 100% Enhanced Damage for 3 low-runes is enticing, but typically, other better options are open to you by the time you can make it. This weapon has virtually no viability for much of anything. One as a level 30 duels weapon (Made in a Naga primarily) and the other as an early-ladder temporary weapon.

It can actually be paired with Black on barbarians for a nice dual-wield combo. On single-player, it can be made into a long-term weapon, like Black, only it's better and good 5 socket base weapons aren't easy to find. Since the aura-stacking glitch (To my knowledge) has been patched completely by now, this runeword has virtually no viability for anything anymore. If I remember correctly, this weapon has only ever had one use, and that was for aura-stacking. Claws can only have a maximum of 3 sockets, so it makes sense that Fury could be the best runeword exclusively for claw assassins. Its limited use likely has to do with the fact that it requires Jah and Gul, yet doesn't offer quite enough to compensate for that for other builds that could benefit from other runewords. The crushing blow and flail+ias are ideal, when all you have to work with is scraps.ДЇor all I know, Fury could have more purposes than I know, however, I am only aware of it being used as a claw weapon paired with Chaos for Whirlwind Assassins. This is because high runes are so scarce on single-player, that it gives viability to some of the low-end runewords.ДЄnother purpose for Black is as a low-budget Uber-Smiter weapon. On single-player, it can be made into a long-term, yet easy-to-make weapon. This runeword has some specific low-end purposes. The resistances are good, but there are plenty of other shield options that offer resistances on the list (Like Rhyme and Spirit ) that are accompanied by a decent number of other good mods. This runeword isn't good, unless it's very early on in the ladder (First few weeks or so) or normal mode on single-player. It won't be until I cover the 1.11 Runewords that things start to get juicy. Notice that most of the Original Runewords are between the and range. Making this list is pretty time-consuming, so I'll start with the first 10 and try to add to it over time. (Has specific purposes and would otherwise be rated lower) So I hope this discussion helps you choose your runewords easier when browsing the list.

I decided that a discussion on a list of all of the runewords worth using could be useful to newer players.ДЄrreat Summits list of runewords is full of runewords that either aren't even worth using or are only used for specific purposes. So I've been scratching my head (So to speak) thinking of ways to educate on items that doesn't involve assuming those things for the reader. After all, you can google any build and get a sea of variations to choose from, so I just feel like adding one more drop to the sea isn't going to make much of a difference or offer anything new. Not everyone has the same budget, have the same purpose in mind for a given build, or can agree on what's best. That said, I typically avoid posting detailed character builds and such, because everyone has their own ways and own deviations to build their own characters. Honestly, I try to avoid giving mostly subjective advice.
